Growing up in Dallas, TX, the home of Hall of Fame bodybuilders such as Ronnie Coleman, Branch Warren and Johnnie Jackson, Andrew Vu was immersed in bodybuilding culture from a young age. He entered his first show, the Ronnie Coleman Classic, in 2008 at the age of 21 and placed seventh in the novice lightweight class. The defeat only served to stoke his competitive fire. While earning his BS in Exercise Science at the University of Texas-Arlington, Andrew worked diligently to redeem himself. He made his return to the stage at the Ronnie Coleman Classic in 2010 where he won the open lightweight class. In the years following, Andrew continued to improve and competed at the National level, culminating in a 4th place finish as a lightweight in 2012 and a 6th place finish as a welterweight in 2016 at the prestigious USA Championships. While competing, Andrew built a full-time career providing nutritional guidance to competitors and non-competitors alike. Following the 2016 contest season, Andrew chose to fully focus his competitive energy on his coaching business and the results have been remarkable. Andrew uses his background in exercise science as well as his hands-on education while entrenched in competitive bodybuilding to guide his clients to their desired goals.
